In December our first ‘Make Your Own Way' visit since Covid was to Oxhey Chapel.  This was well attended - thank you everyone who came. A special thank you to Michael Mendelblat for organising the visit. If you have any suggestions of places to visit, please let us know. Our next ‘Make Your Own Way' visit will be to St Lawrence Church, Whitchurch. It will take place on 21st May at 11am. The contribution for the guided tour will be £5 per head.

Many of you turned up to our first talk of 2024 in February.  The talk by Simon Morgan was ‘2000 years of Traffic Signs’. We had almost 80 people on the evening and from the number of questions in the Q&A, and the comments received by the committee after the talk, everyone enjoyed the evening.

Our membership year runs from April 1st to March 31st and time is fast approaching to renew your PLHS Membership for another year. We have kept the cost of membership the same as last year.

Membership of the Pinner Local History Society entitles you to free entry to all our regular talks, and a copy of our informative newsletter 3 times a year. We will also keep you updated on anything that we think would be relevant to those interested in the Pinner area and its history including our Visits.

We are trying to make renewal easier. You can pay by:

  • By Bank Transfer, complete a membership form and e-mail or post it to Kathy Fry, or bring it to our next talk.
  • By Cheque, attach your cheque to a completed form and either sent it to Kathy Fry or bring to next talk.
  • By Cash, complete a membership form and pay at the next talk.
  • By Credit or Debit Card, complete a membership form and pay at next talk.

There is a form on the Membership page on this website, you can collect one at a meeting and one will also be sent with the next newsletter.
